The beloved TV character of Taher in ‘Setayesh’ popular series was offered to different stars before ultimately ending up in the hands of Mehdi Pakdel who made it iconic.

Nima Shahrokhshahi, who might be remembered from ‘Hereafter’, was apparently in consideration to be Taher.

Shahrokhshahi even negotiated with the producer of the series but due to a tight schedule playing in another project turned down the role.

The team then went to offer the acting role to Hamed Behdad, the star of ‘The Third Day’ movie and many more.

Asking for an extremely high wage to play Taher, Behdad did not also reach an agreement with the team.

Network executives reportedly told that Behdad turned down the role because he did not want to appear on the small screen.

Taher finally ended up in Mehdi Pakdel’s hand who settled on a perfect match with the role.
